The pewter dishware, frames, and statuettes we carry come from San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. This metal has a very similar look and feel to silver, it is actually an alloy made of mostly aluminum. While this pewter ware can be used for cooking and serving food, we do not recommend using it for highly acidic food such as anything with lemon or vinegar or washing it in a dishwasher. Mexican pewter requires very little maintenance to stay looking shiny and beautiful.

The hand punched tin we carry comes from San Miguel de Allende, the capital of the state of Guanajuato. Tin art is produced when pieces of tin are cut to shape and stamped with patterns, a process dating back to the 1500s. Sometimes it is painted, paired with tile, antiqued with patina, or polished to stay its natural shiny silver tone. Lamps are assembled with simple soldering, and marbles are inserted to catch the light as it shines through from inside.
