Blue Pot: 2 hummingbirds

In addition to the butterfly, the hummingbird is a common motif of Michoacán. Our hummingbird pottery is crafted with intense skill and precision by Macario Covarrubias in Tonalá, Jalisco. While Macario has been studying ceramics since he was young in an apprenticeship setting, he also studied formally at the University of Guadalajara. His ceramics are high fire and glazed, giving them a glossy finish that is very durable.
